Declaration of Tiamat
I am Tiamat, mother of mothers, queen of all.
I am of the serpent, and the serpent is of me.
Ancient Maiden, I stand clothed in robes of deepest crimson. Red as blood, red like the setting sun.
In one hand, I bear a golden cup. In the other, I bear a drawn sword.
All of my enemies, I slay, sweeping over them like a great tide. All my children, I bless with great wisdom and power.
I am the most ancient of the Ancient Ones. I am Queen over all.
wow this is neat good work
I'm unfamiliar wih the being portrayed in the poem and so I can't comment on its authenticity. I'm sure you know what you're talking about though. I think you've got some great imagery here. I'd be careful of cliches such as red like the setting son though. I also find when I read it aloud that it's got a few too many words in places. Still, it's pretty good. You certainly have writing ability.
very nice. for those who don't know, Tiamat is an ancient sumerian goddess if i remember correctly. excelent images here, very nicely done, i would make the scentences a little longer but if this is maent to be a poem then it is still good.
That was beautiful! Beautiful immagry, and now you've got me more interested in learning more about her! Excelent!
